Has anyone tried XPlane 11 on these new machines yet? I know some will say I should use a powerful windows pc dor this, but I am just a casual gamer so cant justify that. Used to run xplane 10 on my 2011 mbp but xplane 11 would barely run.

I don't use that, but I will go out on a limb and say it will run faster on the 2018 MPB then your 2011 MBP ;)

The reviews I've read, seem to indicate that the GPU is just not up to the task of running modern games, I'm not sure how demanding XPlane is, but I suspect it may be decent provided you don't have the image detailed turned all the way up

I saw a youtube video of it on the 2017 mbp and it was reasonable, just wondered if it was better on the 2018. Mine has arrived now so will test it and report back :)

The 2018 has includes a small bump in GPU and a larger increase in CPU performance so I would assume it will be better :)

Not an MBP but it runs fine on my iMac 4K 2017 (i7 7700 / 32gb / Radeon 560 (4GB).

Shouldn’t be too far off.
