iPhone XR XR incoming phone call question

when I receive a phone call the first ring is loud and subsequent rings are much more muted
ring tone is "old phone"

I don't see an option to adjust this?????

Yeah I get this too and I don't like it!

should be a way to fix it but I haven't found it

Try turning off the “Attention-Aware Features” in Face ID & Attention settings, that should sort it.

Hmmm, it rang this morning while I was in bed and I know I wasn't looking at it, but it did this anyway... It was sitting flat on it's back on the wireless charger. Interesting though, I will have to check out that setting.

It will. If you leave it enabled it will even lower the volume on timers and alarms when you look at the screen..
