So I know that all of the newest iphones had some issues regarding signal and connectivity when they first came onto the market. Has everything been fixed between then and now?
I purchased an XR about a month ago when I changed from Tmobile to AT&T and was pleasantly surprised at the incoming signal strength. The phone actually did pretty much as well as my Galaxy S10e did on Tmobile. However, for various reasons I had to cancel the AT&T account, return the iphone and go back to my S10e on Tmobile. A few days later I purchased an Xr from Tmobile and found that the signal strength was pretty poor. Anywhere from 7 to 15dbm lower than what I was getting using the S10e. So I returned the Xr and have been using the S10e ever since.
Well, I like the Xr and would like to give it another try but wonder if another try would do any better for me.
So in general, how IS the reception using the Xr? Have things been ironed out since those first days when the phone was initially released? Etc?
Thanks

I found the XR too big for me, but while I was using it, reception was quite good on Verizon. Better than my previous 8+ in fact. Holds onto calls better, and allows me to make calls in spots with weak signal.

Verizon 8 plus had Qualcomm chip.apple last used Qualcomm in iPhone X for Cdma versions.
Xr Xs and Xs max are all intel modem based, that’s why poor reception of signal on any network.

I just got the phone 5 days ago. I’m coming from a 5s that never had any reception issues. The XR has been horrible on reception in my apartment. I’ve updated the IOS to 13 and still having issues.
