it's been a few days and my images from my Iphone X are still not appearing in saved conversations on my xs max...anyone else having this issue? Messages are being synced to icloud and its definitely enabled on the new device bc the conversations are there just no attachments, not even in the most recent conversations

I have that issue with my xs. I don’t know how to fix it and I did a backup

Im hesitant to erase my x and send it back before this is resolved.. i assumed it would overnight when charging but its been 4 days now and nothing.

I saw this behavior as well, and think it might be a new "feature". If you go into a thread that has messages/attachments that aren't showing up, and click on the header/name at the top, then click the info icon (circled i), that brings up the details page for the thread. At the bottom of that page is a section for Images and Attachments. In my case, it showed there was some number of images stored in iCloud, and had a button to download them. Once done, the message thread looks like it should, with the inline messages or attachments.

Hope that helps.

that's where i usually look and how i noticed the pictures weren't there... strange... i'm sure its more of a software IOS issue than the iPhone but was curious if it was me and isolated or a widespread problem
