Hello!

Do I need a screen protector for my iPhone XS Max? I keep hearing the glass is much better than on the X.

If so, can someone recommend one? I was going to go with Zagg, but $44 is pretty steep. I looked on Amazon, but I have no clue which brands are good.

How many of you are using protectors and how many not? For those that aren’t, have you noticed any scratching?

Thanks for your help in advance!

I have never used screen protectors on my iPhones. Never had any issues.

The X screen is not better that the MAX.

If you have scratches screen in the past maybe you should, I have NEVER scratched an iPhone screen all the way back to the 3GS.

Spigen easy fit tempered glass, would be a good and not so expensive choice!

That’s the one I choose my self, for my Max.

I have a case on it so far (Torras), but no screen protection. I am not really a fan of the protectors, but thought the glass scratched easily. Maybe I’ll give it a shot without this time around.

I have Sprint’s coverage on the phone. It covers up to two incidents. So, that makes me feel better.

Only you can answer that question. The way each of us use and handle our phone is different. I’d ask you this, would you rather risk scratching a cheap screen protector or your phone’s screen?

You will get micro scratches on the oleophobic coating that you will see in direct light, but not with the screen on. It’s unavoidable. If that doesn’t bother you then you don’t need one.

Don’t buy Zagg. It’s way overpriced. Just read the reviews in Amazon and buy one that has good reviews.

In my opinion, yes. The glass is less resistant to cracking but the screen or at least the coating scratches easily. Not noticeable but put it under a light after a few weeks or so in the pocket and you’ll see what I mean. I’ve got a naked 6s plus and the screen is perfect but these are two different animals.

Recommend this one. Not only does it cover entire screen it also covers notch area. Kinda hides it. Face ID works fine. Comes with a template for easy precise install. Brings 3. At first attempt it was a success. Love this one.
