I know there's a similar thread out there, but how hard is it to setup and operate an Xserve server for someone with no network experience? I have ADSL at home, and with multiple computers and hundreds of gigabytes of files, I would like to have a file server that's not too expensive and easy to operate. If you know how to operate a Mac, can you handle Xserve?

You might want to take a look at O'Reilly's latest System Administration book which has information for handling Mac OS X Server.

They may have a sample chapter at http://www.oreilly.com/ but they also have various tips all the time.
