Hello -

My knowledge of Apple products is very limited. I recently picked up a used server in an electronics recycling run at a local university and found what appears to be an Xserve server. As I would like to sell it rather than scrap it, I have three questions:

-Where do I find the model number/pertinent identifying information?

-Is there any personal information stored on the internal hard drive?

-What, if any, power cords come with this server?

Thank you for the help - I truly appreciate it!

If you boot it up you could do 'About this Mac' from the Apple menu symbol then clicking the 'more info'.

Look on the back of the unit - towards the left will be a plastic which slides out from the chassis. Serial #, MAC, and original configuration are printed on it. The card is captive and won't slide all the way out.

Personal information? No way to tell. The responsible thing to do is act as if there IS personal information, and zero the drives.

2 power cords for the redundant power supplies. They are standard IEC cords.
