XServe Raid5 Force Rebuild

Hello:

We have an XServe Raid and a drive failed. We replaced the drive but the drive just shows up as a spare. The Raid 5 Partition does not automatically rebuild as suggested by the manual. Does anyone know how to manually Force a rebuild in the XServe Raid 1.5.1 admin tools?

An obvious question perhaps but did you plug it back into the same place vacated by the failed drive?
