Are you looking for something that's free or willing to pay for an App? "muCommander" is free and works well in El Capitan although it does need the latest Java to run. Path Finder is even better but it's not free. And finally, you can get XtraFinder to run in El Capitan if you turn off SIP (System Integrity Protection).
