Xvid.avi to Playable DVD

I have toast tianium 9 and the Perian codec. When I drag the file into toast it says that it is an unsupported format and could not be imported.

I need to have this movie on a dvd for a college presentation tomorrow...Can someone please help me?!

Use ffmpeg or QuickTime Pro (with perian) to convert it to another format, then drop it into Toast, which will convert it to MPEG2 for DVD then burn it.
