How the heck do they NOT let us customers know about a hack of this magnitude within a week or ATLEAST a month after its uncovered???!!!

With 2 step activated you'll be notified when anyone including yourself attempts to sign in on an unrecognized device, so no not necessarily

Gmail is good. I usually use iCloud for personal stuff and Gmail for business and account related stuff. My Yahoo account used to be a spare but it has to GO.
