Heh 20 years and i didnt even know they had a messenger service
You must've lived under a rock or were born after the 90s because it was a very popular messenger app.
Heh 20 years and i didnt even know they had a messenger service
No way! Yahoo! Provides weather info for Apple! Oh wait, that’s The Weather Channel. Ya, it’s time for them to close shop.Yahoo just needs to close shop. One of the most useless websites ever existed.
How do I sign up? I want to be ready to be part of a class action suit cometh the day.
I used to use Adium to have all my messengers in one place. I miss those days. It was a great app.
Just curious, since I haven't used Telegram, but how is it better than Apple Messages?

My wife and I still use ICQ daily to chat to each other, as it works well across our Mac desktops and our Android phones. It's been under Russian ownership for a while, though, so no doubt they're collecting all sorts of information about us that will ultimately bring down Western civilisation.ICQ! That used to be my jam back in the day. Hadn't thought about or used that in a loooooooong time. Can't believe it's still going, but looking at it's competitors, I'm glad it's them.
Too young or just woke up from a coma?Heh 20 years and i didnt even know they had a messenger service
I still remember my 7-digit ICQ number. In the mid-to-late '90s it was just as important to me as my phone number. And then there was one.
ICQ is now the last man standing among the original “big four” of AIM, Yahoo, ICQ, and MSN.
These days, I’m a Telegram user; it does a great job with a limited, very useful, platform-independent set of functionality instead of bombarding the user with advertising.
Uh oh.ICQ is now the last man standing among the original “big four” of AIM, Yahoo, ICQ, and MSN.
I used to use Adium to have all my messengers in one place. I miss those days. It was a great app.
So I'm not the only one who for some reason still remembers my number despite ICQ coming up in my head maybe only once every few years or so these days.I still remember my 7-digit ICQ number. In the mid-to-late '90s it was just as important to me as my phone number.
I had a five digit number, and was kind of fond of it, but my account was hacked, and I lost it. I had some remote contacts who I lost contact with which sadden me a bit. But when I tried to sign up again, I got a I think 9-10 digit number, and found that was boring so I abandoned ICQ at that time. But it made me much more security conscious and I guess something good came about it.I still remember my 7-digit ICQ number. In the mid-to-late '90s it was just as important to me as my phone number.
Brilliant. I’m having an ICQ flashback now.Uh oh.
People who are prideful of their ignorance never cease to amaze me.
What's that about Jerry Yang?Jerry Yang must be rolling over in his grave.

90’s teens for sure knew about it. This and aim were what we used. Parents for some reason used ICQ.Heh 20 years and i didnt even know they had a messenger service
Worse than useless since they apparently distribute malware now. There were Yahoo! toolbars and adware all over my teachers' and grandparents' computers when I was in high school.Yahoo just needs to close shop. One of the most useless websites ever existed.
No one seems to remember Windows Live Messenger (aka MSN Messenger), which was discontinued in 2014.first AIM, and now this? How will I chat with my buddies and meet new people?
