Yahoo push email problem ??

Is anyone else experiencing problems with push email notifications using IOS 4.0+? My old 3g, new Iphone 4, and colleagues 3gs (not to mention my wife's old 3g and new 4) all experience lack of push notifications for Yahoo email..

I was having issues with yahoo push notifications too. But I found a suggestion that resolved it for me. I have to exit out if the mail app completely (I.e., turn off from multitasking bar). Have been getting all my notices since I started killing the app on exit.

I am, and the above suggestion has not worked for me. I can't remember when it stopped pushing, but it hasn't been pushing for a while now.

As I understood it, from a year or 2 ago, you had to upgrade to yahoo premium in order to get push email on devices.

May be different now, but its worth looking into if your problem is occurring with a free account.

I think it is fixed

According to Yahoo support page, deleting account, rebooting iPhone, and recreating account entry is a possible fix for push email problems. I did this procedure and it appears to be working so far..

i had a problem since upgrading to 4.0.

i just fixed it today. i reset all settings and it fixed it automagically.

Settings > General > Reset > Reset All settings

you will have to reenter your wifi password, but other than that all is fine. push works great now.

and as far as reinstalling the account, i completely restored my phone as a new phone and that didnt work.

This may also work. make sure you are set to push (even at Advanced settings) and make sure Fetch is set to Manual.

Is anyone else receiving yahoo push notifications to more than one device? Does this cause a problem? The chime indicating an incoming email seems to only work occasionally on both devices.

The deleting and creating a new account does it for me too. Seems to be fine for a couple weeks and then it starts lagging again.
