I've checked entourage, iCal, address book and isync and I just can't locate the option.

What are you actually syncing to Yahoo? There is no option in Entourage for that.

If you have Entourage getting email from Yahoo and the messages are being left on the Yahoo server, you can change that by going into Entourage -> Account Settings -> Options and unchecking "leave messages on server".

Other than that, I'm not sure what I understand from your question.

I found the option in address book (preferences/general/advanced) and was able to uncheck it.

Version change

I found it too but i think it is different in OSX Address Book version 5.0.3. You can find it now under the Accounts table. It is really annoying when you do not have internet access and it asks every 5 minutes for a password.
