As a consumer, that is naturally going to be the place I will be when I complain! Am I supposed to go to the factory in China to voice my concerns?

Like someone else said, the high price point they still charge for these should change to reflect a drop in QC.

I realize they have to use multiple suppliers to meet supply demands and am not questioning that but only that each screen from the suppliers be consistent.

stop being so silly. If the product does not meet your expectations, return it and buy something else.

You have no idea what it takes to manage production like this.

The majority of users here would never have even noticed had they not seen it on a forum. Now everybody thinks they know what Apple should and shouldn't be doing.

If Apple's phones suck so much, buy a Samsung. Some of you people just need to grow up and stop complaining about these minor issues. If your phone won't turn on, drops calls, freezes - then that should be dealt with. But to argue over a yellowish screen, when your friends screen is blue, is silly.

I thought mine was yellow. Im viewing the video on my 24" imac 2008 and mine looks exactly like the one on the left. When viewing on my 11" air mine looks in the middle. Mine was much more yellowish when I got it on Sunday.

Watch this. My returned iPhone looked just like the right.

Definitely watch this, but notice how the supposed defective yellow screen iPhone 4S has far better accurate colors than the "perfect" iPhone 4. The iPhone 4's screen looks ridiculously blue-ish. Just look at the standard iPhone wallpaper he has there, notice how on the 4S the lower gray gradient looks, gray, like it's supposed to? Where as the iPhone 4 has a more blueish hue to it.

There is no defect, like everyone else has said, it's just that the screen is warmer than the iPhone 4, and if you don't' like it, try to get it replaced. I've already gotten used to it and I actually prefer the warmer colors.

i dunno if its cause im tired, but i dunno wtf that guy said.

i went through 6 4s' and they were way more yellow than that guys.

Much thanks to akron, the thread starter! I'm looking forward to future photos.

I've been wrestling with this very thing, but with two iPhone 4s compared to an iPod Touch 2G. The two IP4s are markedly different from each other; one yellow tinted for sure. That one does render photos much better than the other i-devices, but for reading black text on a white background, it looks washed out. The second iP4 is in between the cool blue iPod Touch and the yellow iP4.

To those who scoff at our concerns, it does matter as it can ruin the experience of reading text on the phone. You're lucky if you have a yellow one and can live with it!

At high brightness levels (close to or at full), the "yellowish" IP4 looks white, near perfect. But, as pointed out earlier, that's hardly the level one uses the device at. At low, normal brightness levels, a "white" background looks very, very yellow! A screen protector's grain becomes more obvious--and it's a distraction, especially in low light or pitch black conditions.

Now, in defense of those who "mock" those of us who are concerned (that's meant to be a light-hearted jab :)) or who have better things to do in their lives--or are too busy to act on it--it is true that the cool screens end up looking weirdly blue after a while!

However, just use 1 device for hours, and the cool blue ends up looking great, whereas the yellow still looks... well, yellow! :)

The key to all this would be an Apple provided color calibration setting. I wonder if they won't provide something in an iOS 5 update. Glad to hear that there is a jailbreak option. I may just have to try that!

I'm not sure how to put this more straight forward, but: THE YELLOW TINT DOESN'T MAGICALLY GO AWAY.

A friend of mine bought his 4S a week later after I did. Mine has this really annoying yellow tint while his is absolutely perfect.

So white 4S's do exist, but you have to be one lucky sob to get one.

What's with Apple and screen issues? My 13" MBA also came with an LG display, that is compared to 2010 MBA, my screen is damn yellowish!
