How are you guys getting the yellow to show up in photos ? When ever i try taking a photo with my XR phone my screen looks perfectly white but in person it is piss yellow.

I bought my iPhone 12 pro at Best Buy, which appears to have some yellowing of the screen. Should I take it back to Best Buy or my local apple store if I’m interested in trying a replacement.

A little comparison. In my opinion v3 is slightly better. 11pm has a bit whiter screen, for what a picture may worth...

both have a very mild flickering grey with low brightness.

In the normal use the black are solid in both.
Please give us first 5 numbers of serial from both devices.

As per Apple website, phones need to go back to where they were purchased from. Bad news is that Best Buy charges a $45 restocking fee. Not sure what their policy is on waiving it.

they look very similar. But most important thing is, if you like it. Without comparing it with other devices. Set dark mode on, go to macrumors site and decide wether you like the „grey“ or not...

yes you’re completely right.
I like em. Cannot understand wich one is better but they are pretty identical.

the v2 has a bit more glow.

I like the greys, as you can see they are almost the same of my 11pm.

With anandtech confirming that we are not crazy today, I think it’s safe to say this is what most iPhones look like this year, and the “nice” screens out there are the true outliers, not our yellow ones.
I'm wondering if the "good" displays are LG panels. A lot of phones this year that use Samsung panels are reporting yellow tint issues (OnePlus 8 Pro, Moto Edge, S20 FE).

I don't think it's necessary to fix it directly with an update
they just need to add color adjustments in the settings
Color temperature adjustment is not enough
Because green is also strong

same for both!
F2LDN

One is a replacement one is a new purchase. Shipped with a day of distance.

the one replaced was G0NDK

it was similar, more greenish in the off axis
Very strange. All your devices are manufactured in October. Same batch.

For starters.. this would help!
Isn't that only available in Vivid mode on Samsung panels? Natural mode doesn't have that setting, but shows more accurate colors but Vivid has the setting but colors are crazy saturated, as they show the full gamut of the display.

Wow really ? In Canada there is no fee if you return it in under 14 days.

That is correct. Only available for 'Vivid Mode' on the N20 Ultra and 'Adaptive Display' on the Note 9

But, it would still come in real handy if Apple would let us adjust the white balance to our liking ( true or not )

True, it would definitely quiet us lol.

Help yourself : http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.html/

From your phone - Settings - General - About .. tap and hold on the serial number to copy. Paste it on that site.

you’ll need the full serial number. Been using this site for years and never had an issue!

My mini is yellow too .... if i try to adjust the color it tends to blue ... i felt apple assistance and they told me that the 12 are all with a warmer display .. to preserve sight .. but is it possible that there is no official Apple press release? my mini has the serial that ends with fd9d ... if i had to go to an apple center to change it, i have to check that it has a different serial? does the serial also identify the manufacturer of the display? sorry for my english but i am italian ...

The serial number does not identify the panel manufacturer. I believe there is a website where you can do this ? ( sure someone here will know and post a link.. ) Even if you do get to know who made your device's display ( LG or Sammy ) it's not really relevant if you have the issue.

Yes, it's most likely a regional thing. I should have mentioned that some states waive the restocking fee so it's possible OP is in one of those states (I am not, unfortunately). Whether or not a BB manager is willing to waive the fee... dunno. I assume for defects they might be more willing but hard to say.
