I don't believe any of it. I've owned several iphones and they all pretty much look the same after adjusting the screen settings. Confirmation bias run amok.
Set up my 12 Pro and it's identical to my 11 Pro Max, no yellow tint or overtly warm hue. Some typical blue shift at an angle. Glad to be one and done this year.
Giving me hope for when I get mine later today!
Gonna run errands real quick, and will try to take some accurate photos when I get back
the ones I took with screen protector on and using my SE2 to capture aren't quite depicting it accurately
the tl;dr though is its beautiful, bright, crisp whites, and great off axis
GOT MYSELF A WINNER GUYS ! Phew!!! its party time this weekend

I don’t see any issues with mine. When TT is on, the screen gets warmer. When off my screen is more blue. Compared to my XR with the same settings, my XR screen is more warm than my 12 Pro in both settings.

Wow. That looks truly horrible, assuming TT is really off. Return the POS immediately and demand better.I have never had the warm screen issue on previous phones, so this was my year, I guess. TrueTone off. Not only is it grossly warm, it is incredibly dull and dark. At 100% brightness compared to my iPhone 11, it's about half as bright. I'm super disappointed.

What the hell? Looks terrible. Is that the pro or standard 12?I have never had the warm screen issue on previous phones, so this was my year, I guess. TrueTone off. Need to wait until you're done with the transfer. You can't make any changes to the brightness during the setup process. NS looks to be on as well as the brightness isn't up fully.
Mine looked very similair to that during setup, but once settings get restored it went away. Looking at my IP11P and IP12P side by side they look very close, but I did notice I need to crank up brightness at least 10% on the IP12P to get the same look as the IP11P. So at first glance this display seems to be a bit dimmer at the very least. Kinda sucks. Do we know who made these? Last I knew IP12 was LG and IP12P was Samsung. Been in the smartphone game for a long time and had lots of phones, I smell something and I think it might be LG's dirty grundies!!!!I have never had the warm screen issue on previous phones, so this was my year, I guess. Beat them at their own game! Love it!I’ve got a yellow tint one. Side to side with my iPhone X it’s clearly more yellow.
And I’m missing 3D Touch already.
Tomorrow I’m going to call Apple and see if I get more lucky in the next one. If not, I will wait until January (like I did with my iPhone X with a perfect screen) or maybe until next iPhone.
