Well not the way you think called my closest Apple Store, the said they had a repacement for my 2.2 glossy MBP, so I wanted a fix,,,,the lower right hand corner was really bad still, drove there and the said sorry we have no 2.2 glossys or mattes......so to make a long story short......the gave yes gave me a 2.4 instead of the 2.2 still had to take matte but super happy, and no yellow tint at all....it perfect out of the box!!!!! all i had to pay is 40 buck+ for Tax🙂
 
Nice, practically a free upgrade!

You are pretty lucky to get an Apple rep happily enough to sort that out for you - seemed a lot of folk were having trouble getting replacements easily for the yellowing issue.

My original one had yellow tint on it, and I took it back to where I bought it (John Lewis - UK retail store) and spoke to the chap who was happy enough to open another one and let me sit them both side by side and compare the screens so I knew I was getting a good one!
 
Its was a long day but worth it in the end....Happy I have a perfect macbook now......and matte is not that bad 🙂

Thats a nice upgrade, you're really lucky! I wish that they would upgrade mine, luckily I don't have the yellow issue though.
 
whos cheating, it had a tint issue, they said they had a replacement drove 1 hour 45 minutes, and they were wrong......I am finding i like the matte better seems it cleaner then the glossy

The first pic is the matte, the wallpaper is darker on the right conrner not a bleeding issue


the bottom is the old glossy!
 
Wow...that is really white...

But i think i am gonna wait a little bit longer for my MBP by the fact that people are still receiving yellow screens.
 
WOW you can really see the difference in that last picture!!! didnt realise it was such a big problem!!!

wish i had SR mbp... 🙁
 
yea changing the profile helped but near the bottom it was a slight yellowing this one is perfect and really happy thought i would not like matte but really do 🙂
 
Nice that you liked the screen as it was from begining, which cheating I didn't meant that you where cheating, I meant sort of like "lucky bastard" / update more or less for free cheating ;D

Do you know which manufacturer old and new screen had?

May I guess old where samsung and new lg? ;/
