Take your pick guys, which day is the event going to be on? :D

We should know which day it will be by this coming Wednesday if Apple sends the invites out 1 week in advance generally.

Added a poll

People really need to let this go...

Unlike past years, why has the Event announce date been such a big deal this time around? Everyone is throwing out dates in the air hoping that one of the 30 days of this month is correct, for what, so that they can say "I was right?"

Monday September 26th

Preorders starting Tuesday September 27th at 12:00am, iOS 5 releasing Oct 3rd and iPhone 4S and 5 releasing on Oct 7th at 5:00pm

For me, it's like a Chess game. I've studied all of the bogus rumors so far and compared them with the actual facts, if it turns out to be true, then I will have won my first game of Chess about an Apple event prediction better than the bogus blogs have.

Wow, really? Maybe because in past years during the September event we've all had our new iPhones for 3 months at this point, and this year will most likely be the new iPhone unveiling. I don't think I have ever seen you post in a thread that adds anything constructive, I've only seen you post to either: A. act as if you're better than anyone who has posted before you or B. to tell people you are adding them to your ignore list. So I guess I am taking a leaf out of your book, welcome to my ignore list, have fun being the one and only person ever to be added to it.

As to the original question, I believe the 21st will be the day. Although, it could be the 20th. I don't think the 19th has a shot, simply because it is a Monday.

Do you think Apple will steal HTC's event thunder if they have their event also on the 20th (Tuesday) ?

Most of the 'bogus blogs' have been predicting late Sept/ early Oct for months, but you guessing a date with only 4 days to go (according to your prediction) is somehow winning?

Yeah, none of the blogs have even talked about the same simple facts that I used to derive when the event is going to happen.

Because this time the event is a little more important... They are going to be talking about a much more important product... do you really not understand that?

It would be such a dick move if Apple did that especially since they know they could steal press coverage away from HTC by doing that. I voted for the 20th because of this exact reason. No need for them to wait a day after a competing company releases their new hardware when they can just outshine them on the same day.

Agreed, there has been way too much speculation about this.

Agreed. You're just wasting your time.
(Yeah I know, I'll get "-x'd" on this post, but it's true.).

I think that it'd be a perfect move!

HTC will be like "so guys we have this...that..this.." and then everybody is gonna be like "oh that's nice, but the iPhone 5 is coming out tomorrow".

But i think the 21st is the ideal date.

Well, thank goodness somebody actually knows exactly whats going on.

We should just close all those speculative threads. Stop all this rumor articles. Just post this on Page One.

This man knows.

End of story. :p

People are excited. Its a rumours forum. It's fun to speculate. Are you always this negative?

As for the question, I'll say 9/21.

I doubt they'll rent out Yerba for this - the announcement will most likely be made on campus.
