Yet another 2.3 vs 2.6 thread but on Battery life..

Clicked the thread in hope of getting some insight on the battery situation over at Engadget, left because another blithering idiot fails to read the op, derails the thread and gets posters to mouth-feed him/her to boot.

So... Is there any second opinion (or independent test, hopefully) on the 2.3 vs 2.6 in regards to battery life out there?

I tend to get drawn into flame wars. My Disqus account is banned on and off day by day.
