I know a lot of people are complaining about their battery issue asking if its normal and stuff..

I got my phone on the apple store so I really don't want to have to ship it back and get a replacement... it takes way too long...

my phone is currently at 65%

shows under Time Since last full charge :

Usage: 1 Hour, 11 minutes
Standby 2 hours, 39 minutes

This can't be normal, can it? I just downloaded couple of apps/browsed through some apps... I used Waze (GPS) to guide me to work (for about 30 minutes)

I'm at work so I'm not using it hardcore...

is this normal? Should I exchange it? If yes what's my easiest option.. thanks :(

I dont have a 4S yet... but even i know that it is your notifications.... auto refreshes... pings.. turn all that stuff off! Search the threads.. theres a bunch of talk about it all.

Navigation apps actually suck up a lot of power through constant GPS use. Try using your phone without Waze or navigation apps for a day and see how it is.

Thanks.. I'll look into turning off notifications & will try tomorrow without Waze to see if I see a difference..

thank you!

antidoll, give it a week of full use. meaning don't hold back -- use it like you want to, and charge regularly.

you will see an improvement as your battery "breaks in"

if it doesn't (which is likely will) then think about returning it.
