yet another switcher finally makes the jump

just got back from my local apple store with shiny, white 512mb macbook 2.0 w/ superdrive 60gb. after years of dell pcs and over a year lurking...i finally made the jump. next time i post it will be from my mac...crossing fingers for no mooing 😉

i love my mac! very impressed with the whole mac experience so far. my only complaints are battery life (less than 3 hours) and the speakers are VERY quiet...even at full volume. so far, so good...i want to be a mac convert for life. she's sleeping now after i ran the batt down to like 3%.

Seems like for every laptop, the claimed battery life and actual are usually a good bit different. Though if you turn the brightness almost all the way down and run only Finder you should get much better battery life! 😀

I see no-ones mentioned the bit about putting an extra 512MB of RAM at least into your machine so I'll do that.
