This time it's affected another 32 million accounts. This is the 3rd discovered in 6 mo. I wonder how this will affect Verizon's offer to buy them out. https://9to5mac.com/2017/03/01/yahoo-hack-2017-data-breach http://www.reuters.com/article/us-yahoo-databreach-idUSKBN1685UY
...so if you're keeping track of compromised accounts at home, that's 1 billion, plus 500 million, plus 32 million. 1,532,000,000 total KNOWN compromised accounts. Interesting considering only 1,000,000,000 active global monthly users Also interesting considering only 225,000,000 Mail users Soon there can't be any more breaches because ther won't be any more accounts to harvest.
I never understood the reason to buy them in the first place. It is just a website that posts other companies news. There are no Yahoo original stories anymore. What is there to buy? A 486 sitting in a closet running LAMP?
lol.. i can't believe u keeping all this info. and posted it quite well.. With any luck Verizon will kill off the mail service so you won't have that problem anymore..
AOL + Yahoo! + VZW = advertising/general online media https://www.washingtonpost.com/news.../24/why-verizon-wants-to-buy-an-ailing-yahoo/ http://fortune.com/2016/04/19/verizon-yahoo/ http://money.cnn.com/2016/07/26/technology/verizon-earnings/ This one actually interviews VZW about the deal: https://www.wsj.com/articles/why-verizon-wants-yahoo-1477879861
Various parts of at least Sports, Finance, Entertainment, Tech, and News are something that come from Yahoo! rather than just aggregates from other sources.
