No, it's legit. Someone from the iPhone Dev Team broke their CoC and leaked it to a former Dev Team member who made this app. He's using it as leverage against the Dev Team.

It's Geohot's soon to be released app. He had the first unlock for the first iPhone... but stole it from the iPhone Dev-Team. Much like he's doing now.

Not sure. I think he named it as such just because of how it could potentially be released.

I'm just unsure of the method and if it's truly what the Dev Team has been working on.

No new round of iPhone unlocking tools would be complete without more drama about who stole what ideas from whom, who is the real developer of the tool, and whose tool is more likely to "brick" your iPhone. It's part of the culture. Much like no new processor or architecture release can go by from Intel without large numbers of people butchering the code name into some nonsense word that sounds like a cross between a dorky magician from a fantasy novel and a villain from Voltron. :D

well so far the only one with a lot of info is..Dev?? Zibri or whatever went emo and does not know if he will do it(probably will just to create drama) and the Yiphone is mysterious, but he knows what he is doing.

Yeah, I somehow doubt Zibri will disappear. Although, he seems to respect geohot more than the others, so perhaps the two will collaborate.

I could see that happening. Zibri seems to be stumped on this one and rightfully so because he stole the damn code.

I'm going to look into it. I might wait to see if other people step up to the plate to try it out before I go for it but I'm hoping the Dev Team releases theirs first. I know that I can restore back and forth from 2.0 to 1.1.4 now without problems if I need to.

im not sure on that, but i no that ziphone can damage your ipod because it was sloppily stolen and released without testing, the DEV TEAM is the one that actually tests and works out potential bugs.

No, he's the one who stole the code from the Dev Team.
