AT&T has a call-in only deal available for old-school 2 year contract pricing on the new iPhone XS and XS Max. Ask for "loyalty" or say "I'd like to cancel" when you call.

They will take $450 off the price of the phone in exchange for a 2 year commitment to AT&T with the usual ETF if you want to cancel. Certainly not for everyone, but I thought I'd share.

I have one of their unlimited plans, so YMMV if you do not.

Pricing (before taxes):

iPhone XS 64GB $549
iPhone XS 256GB $699
iPhone XS 512GB $899

iPhone XS Max 64GB $599
iPhone XS Max 256GB $899
iPhone XS Max 512GB $999

Store: AT&T Wireless

How much is the monthly cost then for the plan? Usually the rest of the phone cost is always baked into the plan.

no increase if you have unlimited but with mobile share it goes up $20 to $40 a month

I got this price through my company’s premier account.

Same. These are exactly the prices I've received through Premier. Here are some older options they also gave me, at the same discount level:

iPhone X 64GB - $449.99
iPhone X 256GB - $599.99
iPhone 8+ 64GB - $249.99
iPhone 8+ 256GB - $399.99

They don't seem to have Xr pricing yet. But I can probably safely assume they'll sell them at retail minus $450.

That would be a bad deal for mobile share customers. $20/mo for 24 months is $480. You end up paying $30 extra and getting locked in for 2 years.

Great for grandfathered unlimited customers. I guess AT&T got tired of screwing the customers on the old unlimited plans. ;)

EDIT - I'm on an older Mobile Share plan with an access fee of $15/mo. So if the access fee increases by $25 for me, that's $600 over the 24 months. I'd be paying them $150 extra to be locked in a contract.

ours priemer is buss unlimited plus for 5 is $215.

include $35 access fee for bringing own device, doing 2 yr att for lower iphone price would add $25 more to each line.

we would end up paying more money and phone will be carrier locked to att for 2 yrs also.... unless you pay off ... lol

This is a great deal

I’m still glad I got my x 64gb last year for $549

I’ll certainly still have att for the next year on the same plan I’ve been on (unlimited w tether) so no sweat / changes to my
Lifestyle.

Had to argue to get activation fee waived but I did. The chat guy said it would be waived and never was so they honored it. Apparently activation fee is standard.

Just as an FYI to everyone, this deal works for the XR also. I was able to call earlier today and get a Red and Blue 128GB for my wife and I each at $450 off. I was determined to keep the old grandfathered plan and it finally pays off!

You paid $350 then for 128 XR?

I did indeed! Thanks to the OP for posting this.

You have to keep in mind though, that if you have a mobile share plan, this won't be a deal at all as AT&T will raise your monthly fee and that more than makes up the savings. THis really only works with people like myself, who still have the old grandfathered unlimited plans.

It works on the new unlimited plans as well. It won’t raise your access fees on them as well.
