    Hey guys,

Just wanted to pop in here and let you guys know that there appears to be issues with the latest beta seed of Yosemite and it's affecting apps that try and utilize the trackpad.

The latest beta of Chrome, Clear (the todo app) and NexTab (an app that lets you open, close, and switch between browser tabs using gestures) all crash on the latest beta. All three of those apps attempt to use gestures and that's the common factor that appears to tie the crashes together.

Not dissing the beta or upset, I just wanted to let you guys know so some of you don't update if you don't want to deal with the bug.

    Cheers,
    ~M

For me four finger gestures like changing spaces od expose doesn't work. I "repaired" it with BetterTouchTool. I hope Apple will quickly release fix for that.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. I attempted to "fix" the issues with BetterTouchTool and while I was doing that I noticed that if you had BTT enabled it would cause other system gestures like the swiping between spaces to stop working. Didn't think it was worth sacrificing working with fullscreen apps for the time being so I got rid of BTT.

Strange, disabling Bluetooth didn't solve the issue on my MBP.

Not bluetooth, BetterTouchTool. If you have that enabled to "fix" the gesture bugs then some system gestures won't work.

For me Chrome is instantly crashing when trying to open. Seems unrelated to trackpad.

Its definitely related to the trackpad. If you open Chrome and not touch the trackpad, the app will not crash.

I stand corrected. I guess I was just touching it each time before. As long as I don't touch it Chrome opens.

It's strange that some apps are affected and others are not. For example, 2-finger pinch&zoom works on both Photoshop & Illustrator.

There must be some specific gesture API that is causing the crashes with Chrome and other apps.

Yeah, so at this point it's pretty clear Apple's going to have to push out another update with a trackpad fix. This isn't the developer's fault, this is something Apple broke.
