I just needed to share my absolute joy!

I updated to Yosemite 10.10.4 from the Mac App Store this morning and left for work, when I came home I installed iTunes 12.2 from the Mac App Store as it was waiting for me. On my mid-2012 Macbook Air iTunes is soooooo ridiculously snappy!! Scrolling through albums on the music page is crazy smooth, once the thumbnails loaded they just remained and scroll effortlessly. It reminds me of the performance you see at the Apple store on the display models and apps like Photos - they work so well and look so smooth, you take a Mac home and it's nothing like the store experience, slow and choppy - just the reality, not really a dig at Apple. This though, THIS is amazing! I feel like my SSD is actually working and not just for file transfers or boot up but it's actually making my whole system perform like it should! I feel like I'm getting exactly what I wanted :)

I have always been in the camp where I silently put up with iTunes and its glaring performance issues, but this breath of fresh air I felt the need to share with you all.

Have any of you experienced an amazing and smooth iTunes experience with the latest updates??

Interesting. It feels the same for me as it always has. 2011 iMac, non-SSD.

Yes it is definitely faster than before. But it's still slow in full screen.

12.2 scrolling performance is better on all my Mac`s 12" rMB, 13" rMBP & 15" rMBP, and my wife`s and Kids Macs
