Has anyone encountered issues running 10.10 and the scansnap manager software for the ix500? It's the only thing I use my second computer for...

Thanks.

After Yosemite DP5 install Scan Snap Manager crashes on my computer at every start.

I am using ScanSnap Manager 6.2 L22 with the iX500 and the public Yosemite beta without issue. Your millage may vary:)

After remove and reinstall L20 SnapScan Manager works using USB. Update to L22 using Online Update or update package makes it crashing with every start.

OK, some more results - now it works.

Recipe:

1. Uninstall ScanSnap Manager if it is installed
2. Install ScanSnap Manager V6.0L10
3. Install MacScanSnapV61L12UpWW

Now works in Yosemite DP5 with USB and with WiFi Connection.

I use the S1100...

I do not know if this will help, but my Fujitsu S1100 was given an update for Scansnap manger for what must be Yosemite. This update was available by checking the update module in the Scansnap settings. Until, I started using Yosemite there was no new update. I installed and all was good to go.

Problem installing ScanSnap Manager V6.2 on Yosemite

I have recently purchased an iMac and ScanSnap ix500. As my iMac does not have an optical drive I have downloaded ScanSnap Manager from the Fujitsu link provided with the scanner. The error message I get when I attempt to install ScanSnap manager is "ScanSnap Manager cannot be installed on this computer. There is an problem with the installation environment. Uninstall ScanSnap Manager first, then try installing again." I cannot uninstall a program which is unable to be installed, however I have trashed the download, emptied the trash and redownloaded several times without success. I have contacted Apple support who were also unable to sort this problem. The Fujitsu website states that the ix500 is compatible with Yosemite, however I wonder if this is for OS that have been upgraded to Yosemite and have had a previous version of ScanSnap manager installed. I have tried downloading as a test administrator and also from the DVD files transferred to USB. Apple support tried installing the files from the DVD via a shared optical drive from a Macbook but nothing worked. There are 2 ScanSnap manager updates available on the Fujitsu website which I have downloaded but cannot install until I have the target V6.2 installed. If anyone has experienced a similar problem and found a solution I would really appreciate your help. I will contact Fujitsu tomorrow to see if they have any suggestions, however I have tried everything available on their website.

@ 3bergers have you found a solution to your problem? I am currently having the same issue.

I was eventually contacted by someone from Locktec who had contacted Fujitsu in Japan and received the following response which worked! The website installation instructions that I had been trying were out of date. Good luck!

Feed back from PFU Japan,

There are no known issues installing ScanSnap Manager onto Yosemite 10.10.3 OSX.

I have tried installing the ScanSnap Manager base software version V6.0L10 onto Yosemite 10.10.3 OS X and had no problems, see attached.

Please ensure you are using the correct file available from the following link;

http://www.fujitsu.com/global/support/computing/peripheral/scanners/software/ix500m-setup.html

ScanSnap Manager for Mac (V6.0L10) Setup Program - ScanSnap.dmg (608.9MB)

Please try the following:

1. Disconnect scanner USB if connecting. (power off or remove USB cable)

2. At first, please remove the ScanSnap folder and all files in there from the Application folder to the other folder such as Desktop.

3. Quit any anti-virus software.

4. Install V6.2.

5. If the installation was done successfully, also download/install the latest update, V6.3L24.
