Anyone have any thoughts on the first beta? I've been using it since it came out and I think it's borderline unusable. The graphics switching is broken for my rMBP. Boot up is pretty broken too. Anyone having a better time?

Beta 1 isn't out, yet. You have been using DP 1. It isn't meant to be end user ready at this point.

with the exception of not being able to use iMovie or FX10... It has been very stable for me. very fast OS and no crashes so far. Love the new look and feel of safari and the overall OS

Other than the usual types of issues that come with a DP1 build, I haven't experienced any major issues that make the OS unusuable. Did you do a clean install or an upgrade? Seems that several people have had issues with an upgrade install that were resolved through a clean install.

I thought you couldn't do a clean install with DP1? Do you know of a way to do it?

I clean installed it on to a separate partition. Just created a bootable drive.

Yeah, Yosemite raping your computer is nothing compared to what Steam's going to do to your wallet in two weeks.

Quite solid on my end. Only a three-finger swipe bug is interfering with my day-to-day stuff.

clean install on a clean partitioned separate SSD

I always do a clean install on a clean partitioned separate SSD and never perform an update to a working OS, never mind how easy it seems to be to revert back. A separate SSD is the way to go for me. Good luck with your trouble shooting!

Did a clean install on my nMP, haven't had any issues (crashes, kernel panics, etc) been running pretty smooth. Only the occasional graphics glitch when moving spaces or minimizing a window etc.
