Yosemite Boot Screen

I like the new log in screen. However i dislike the new boot screen where there is this progress bar below it.

Also shutting down seems longer then usual

Yosemite shuts down faster than any OS I've used. Apple finally got OS X back to Snow Leopard speed there.

There's nothing you can do about the boot screen. It's iOS-themed.
