Yosemite dual monitor brightness adjustment not working!

Hello,

I've got a Macbook Pro Retina display (2014) and I want to use my iMac (27inch 2010) in target display mode.
It works nicely using a Mini displayport cable, but I can't adjust the brightness of the iMac display because there isn't any brightness adjustment slider, which is very annoying!! It's VERY bright!! Apparently it's an issue with Yosemite, the brightness adjustment slider has been removed in the system preferences for the second display.

Any ideas if there is a solution or a fix?
