Is this the same as the public version of Yosemite?

Just download the release version of Yosemite, its free and its in the app store.

The answer according to Apple is no they are different.

...there are only minor differences between the last seed build (14A388a) and the build posted to the App Store (14A389)....

So why not just do as maflynn suggested?
