Its probably on a monthly cycle, so you have a couple of weeks to go.

It is very likely to be at the midpoint between the release of public beta 1 and public beta 3. It has been proved in the past that beta number 2 is almost always presented after beta 1 and before beta 3.

Fail in counting and trying to be a smart ass. :p

I sure hope so... if it's monthly, it's going to be the longest month ever. :)

Sorry if this is a dumb question.....

When Public Beta 2 is released, is it an Upgrade in the App Store or a new file to download and install?

    Thanks

There may only be 2-3 public betas in total before Yosemite ships later this year (probably October, like Mavericks last year.) There are only about 2 months left. The next one probably won't be until mid August at earliest.

SMS relay requires an iPhone running iOS 8 as well as Yosemite.

One thing really confuses me that since those who are on PB1 are reporting bugs to apple have no idea that those bugs might have been addressed and fixed in DP5 release, consequently wasting apple engineers' time to read them and our effort on finding and reporting them.

Maybe apple has an intelligent system in place to reduce duplication.

I don't think you should worry about Apple engineers wasting time, trust me, they aren't.

If they're busy making more icons in the style of System Preferences and Mail, then yes — they're wasting time.

Pretty sure the engineers aren't busy making icons.

Some of the Yosemite icons are so bad that you gotta wonder, though. The Mail and Preview icons look like some kid pasted them together using Pixelmator.

I dunno. Maybe Scott Forstall took all the artists with him when Ive coup d'état'd his ass into the street.
