It's sort of dismaying that screen mirroring is getting features like this out of the gate, but iPads running iOS apps are still stuck with iPhone SE screen rendering, when they could easily support Max screens. :\
What are the possible use cases of this feature? Does it work over the Internet or only on WIFI?

honestly all I can think of is Instagram and their stubborn refusal to release clients for anything but phones

People who use their phone for continuity cameras. Web developers able to debug straight on the same computer instead of bouncing between devices.

Yeah same here, has become completely unusable, shame now that the mouse is working. Get the same on M2 and Intel based machines.
Also does anyone else use this on separate machines and find your other machine flooded with notifications when you turn it back on, it needs to dismiss the notifications from all devices when viewed/dismissed from any other.
