Apple Creator Studio now has an official Instagram account, as spotted by Scott Buscemi.

Apple Creator Studio is a new subscription bundle that provides access to Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro, Motion, Compressor, and MainStage on the Mac and/or iPad, with U.S. pricing set at $12.99 per month or $129 per year.

A subscription also unlocks "intelligent features" and "premium content" in apps like Numbers, Pages, and Keynote, plus the Freeform app later this year.

If you are interested in Apple's creative apps, you may wish to follow the account, which will presumably share tips and tricks and more.

Cool. Maybe they’ll work on fixing all the issues they introduced with the flex tool with this Logic Pro release 🙄 It is unusable.

So, the previously free Numbers, Pages, and Keynote will now only be available as part of the Creator Studio subscription bundle costing $129 per year (or $12.99/mn). And the free versions won't be updated beyond their current versions. Oh, I apologize. There's a ground-breaking update that adds a message saying they won't be updated further. It's available now and it's free! Get'em while you can!
There goes Apple's claim that their computers generally cost more than most of their competitors, because of all the free software they come with. Will their OSs be switched to subscriptions soon?
I think it's ironic that this announcement comes out at the same time as this year's significant increases in profit, profit margin, share dividends, sales, etc.
Any thoughts about what "Think Different" might mean in the C-suites and boardroom these days?

I use FinalCut Pro for fun family videos about once a year. No way in HE11 I am going to pay $12.99 EVERY MONTH!!! to use one app once or twice a year. I'll stick with the purchased versions I have on my computer . . . that is, until Apple feels they aren't sitting on a big enough pile of cash that they need to end support for my version and basically force us all to pay monthly or stop using it. If enough of us fight the "monthly subscription model" pricing then maybe everyone will stop this cash grab strategy.

Will be strange installing google docs on my iPad, but I’ll be having google Gemini later on and use a google search bar. Might be switching to google android desktop thats coming up. I am soooo fed up witch the general Apple pricing but this Apple creator package is what we normally would call: extortion. And you can only use the package extras when your hardware meets the requirements

If you're only using it once or twice a year then only pay for it once or twice a year. I don't understand why you'd pay for it on months you're not using it.
I don't! That's the point. I own it because I bought the desktop version when I purchased the laptop. No need to pay for it monthly. I just firmly disagree with the whole monthly subscription model of pricing. I'd rather purchase it once and own that version. I a software creator wants to make a version with new features and there is an upgrade fee, that is perfectly fine. But just keep paying monthly to have the right to use it sometimes? No. These are starting to go too far since not enough people are complaining. But, it looks like some are starting to fight back . . . "BMW has officially dropped its controversial, short-lived subscription service for heated seats following significant consumer backlash, confirming in September 2023 that it will no longer charge monthly fees to activate pre-installed hardware".
