You can now highlight text in messages (watchOS 5 beta 3)

Wow, that's interesting. Seems like it would be hard to do. It's particularly interesting because (to my knowledge) you can't even do that in messages on iPhone....

Ya, honestly this feature is incredibly difficult to use. It seems to prioritize “tapback” before letting you hightlight text. I’ve only been able to get it to consistently work on the last message in the thread that has been sent by the other person. Hopefully this get ironed out in the coming weeks.
