I hated this with Starbucks, they offer incentives to order through the app while you're there instead of Barista then it causes all different confusions..How impatient are we getting as a society that we can't wait few minutes for a cup of coffee...
*Person in front of you gets out piece of paper, proceeds to order 12 different cups of coffee

Sadly, you can only find locations when ordering...
This is strange. I downloaded the app today just to see if it would work with the TH near me. It is strange that there is not an option to find a location on the app.

I find most of these apps to be as bad as the drive through. Too many times the order is incomplete or incorrect.
I think it depends on the store/location. I don't use the Chipotle app to order anymore because of issue. Most places do a pretty good job with the mobile ordering in my experience.

How so? I sometimes use the mobile ordering at Starbucks while at the store, I never had any issue with it. I find it to be pretty convenient to just do the mobile order when I bring my baby in the store with me.

I like ordering using the mobile app, although some of the customizing options are usually missing.

You call it impatient, but some people could call it better time management. Why waste 15 minutes of time waiting for a cup of coffee when you can order it on the way there?

Another reason I like these apps is that I hate standing in line for 10 minutes, just to have the person standing in front of me get to the barista and they do not know what they want to order. Maybe it is me just being impatient.....

It was poorly implemented at least at first where the Baristas had issues pulling up orders and getting confused with online/in-store orders at least in my area. I hope it changed to better but I haven't been there in few months to know.

Not calling everyone impatient, there is always exceptions to people that really need it etc. but for the most part Starbucks is a hangout coffee shop so the assumption is you're there with some time to hang out.

We need Tim Hortons to open in the U.S., especially on the West Coast, southern California more specifically.

Just how lazy and un-social have people become. Just walk into the store, stand in line, communicate with the employee and place the food/drink request. If you really need your coffee immediately, then make it at home. Or, bring instant coffee to the office and add hot water.

There is more than one way to live life, and just because someone chooses to do something different, in this case a method at which they obtain a coffee, doesn't mean that they are lazy.

Great, so now I can preorder awful coffee. No thanks.

.... And due to the political nature of this article the thread has been moved to the politics forum.

I've literally never seen a Tim Hortons close down lmao

In Canada ... never heard of it as well.

In Hamilton, where Tim Horton's started (due to the Hockey player born there for which the company is named after, and no longer family controled over the last 12yrs est) there is some on every block, minimal exaggeration.

I've literary seen:
Road rage from one pick-up truck driver bumping a van directly in front of the drive through because the van driver took to long to grab his coffee, muffins, donuts, etc. Fight broke out ... was classic!
30 people, yes I counted 30 people lining up at the corner of King & James street in downtown Hamilton waiting for the store to open at 6AM. The time was 5:34AM and that was roughly 15yrs ago. I would NOT doubt it to be any different on a Monday morning.

I'll check the app later this weekend but from the sounds of it searching for and selecting a store would be best BEFORE ordering.

I used it 3x today, first thing this morning I placed my order to soon and my iced coffee was warm! Also they need more options for flavour shots, but other than that I'm loving it. It's also great for blind/visually impaired people who can't read the menus and have had bad experiences with cashiers being rude about having to help out!

I’m miffed they removed the “add to passbook/wallet” option of the old TimmyMe! app. You get an error trying to add it in the old app now and I had it in my wallet app for a few year but deleted it cause it wasn’t updating on ios11.2 and my iPhone X. I have reached out to them for that very annoying issue. I hate having to load an app for this and app for that Wallet lets me flip though my debit/credit and store cards in one spot.
