I hate driving in snow. Slid into a curb and hit just at the right angle that I bent my wheel in and did about $1000 worth of damage. And I was only going about 5MPH.

Never jumped out, though.

Why didn't the cameraman think to run to the top of the hill and warn people? But then we wouldn't have this video...

No kidding...I remember them playing this video on the news last year and I sat there thinking the same thing. WTF?!?!

I fell out of my mum's car when I was a kid and hit my head on a standing granite mile-marker. My mum, ever the careful driver, carried on about 100m to park safely off the road in a parking lot, after all had she stopped right away she'd have blocked the lane. I don't think she liked me, maybe I didn't fall?

OMG... I my sister had a somewhat similar thing happen. She was about 4 or 5 years old and was fascinated by the car door. We were driving in a gated community with a speed limit of about 5 or 10 MPH. Anyways she decided pull on the door handle and the door opened pulled open with her hanging from it. We slowed down as safely and quickly as possible and got her back inside.

The only thisg is I didn't pull on the handle, the door just poped open by itself, yet another reason I don't like Ford :)

My gosh....that was not a fatel accedit.. the first person that got out, i thought that they were still bettween her car and the next one coming..i would rather stay in.

winter driving is the greatest fun of the year! so long as you're in a junker car with some decent snow tires and are pretty carefree, it can be thrilling. mind you this is if you're in a vacant area with no one else to get in the way. but when else can you have the fun of rally racing in real life?

Like empty high school parking lots. ;)

Nothing cooler then doing power-slides at 50MPH on a slick parking lot with no obstructions.

I've never jumped out of a car, but I did jump in. Worst winter I had seen here and the way home was closed due to snow(steep hill, lots of accidents coming down, we were trying to go up). Anyway, we were taking an alternate route and my wife was driving and we got suck. I got out to push, got us going and had to jump in so I wouldn't have o walk 5 km to get home. I wouldn't let her stop the car again. Hot shower and hot chocolate later, we sat in front of the fire and enjoyed the snow from INSIDE, as is the only way to enjoy snow...:D
