I am back on IOS6 and i feel Battery Power :D
I am missing the looks of IOS7 i liked the icons and the moving wallpapers.

I've done a downgrade to iOS6 yesterday, because I'm selling me iPhone and iOS6 feels horrible compared to the new firmware. It feels like going back to a old Nokia model.

The first few days/weeks with are not easy to understans the new philosophe. But: You want never go back to an older version.

I miss: ComtrolCentet, Safaris Unified Searchbar and I'm missing very very much the swipe to back gesture. When you can't use the swipe anymore, you will see how often you have used the gesture since the introducing iOS7. And the most 3rd Party aren't updated yet and you can't use this gestures there. I think Swipe to back is one of the most powerful features in iOS7.

Also tab handling in Safari in iOS7 is much easier.

And the lack of ControlCenter. It''s a pain in iOS6 to enable/disable the flight mode.
Which iphone do you have?My iphone 4 feels a little laggy on 6.1.3. and i'm not sure if ios 7 will run smoothly on my phone.

Iwas using ios 7 beta on ip4 and downgrade to 6.1.3 and it just go bad. Battery leak, laggy, so i update to ios7 and now it feels like a F1 (almost) ....

I just used my iPad mini (iOS 6.1.4) and the iOS is horrible compared to iOS 7 on my iPhone. I really have started to love iOS 7 and all of the new features:

-Swipe gestures
-Control Center
-Multitasking
-Safari
-Animations
-Folders
-Parallax
-Pull down spotlight search
-Camera
-iTunes Radio
-Airdrop
-Siri voice
-etc

I don't know how I thought iOS 6 was so good. iOS 7 is so much more refined and powerful. I think it is looks beautiful (I do like the icons but the color pallet could be toned down a notch). I don't even want to use my mini until the GM is available for it. :apple:

I agree in terms of functionality but using iOS6 on my gf's iPhone 5 side by side with iOS7 on mine its easy to tell hers is definitely snappier. But I'm sure the GM will be right up to par.

Downgrading to iOS6 is totally fine and once you type in your Apple ID once for the activation lock, your in the clear for the rest of your time on iOS6. You can restore it infinite times and activation lock won't come back, until you install iOS7 again.

Erasing your iPhone or remotely wiping it from iCloud, forces you to enter your Apple ID to remove activation lock as well..

I'm not sure I did this before downgrading to ios6 and selling . Again if was an iPad I sold still have my phone. I wonder if who ever has my old iPad now will run into trouble if and when they upgrade to ios7?

Uh, what are you even talking about?

Activation Lock is an iOS 7+ feature. iOS 6 doesn't have Activation lock. It's not a Find my iPhone feature, it's a software feature.

If find my IPhone is still active when you put the IPhone or IPad in DFU Mode, after the Factory Restore + Downgrade is Complete, it will still ask you for your existing Find my IPhone Apple ID and Password. This has been Reproduced several times on two different IOS 7 Downgraded to IOS 6 Devices (An IPhone 5, and an IPad Mini).

Okay so I may have used the word find my iPhone where I should have used the word Activation Lock. That being said the Activation Lock is still there after Downgrading.

So basically I did downgrade to ios6 before selling so who ever bought my used iPad when they upgrade to ios7 they won't be able to enter their iTunes info?

It depends on whether you cleared out your ICloud Info or NOT before you sold the device. If you didn't, they may NOT have even been able to Activate the Device when they got it.

i'm pretty sure i didn't. pretty much just erased all contacts and settings while still on ios7. then restored back to ios6. once on iOS 6 i erased all contacts and settings again before i sold it.

I have NOT yet tried a second reinstall of IOS 6 after the downgrade, but I can guarantee that if you downgrade with your icloud info in the phone, the Activation Lock will appear!

That's good to hear as you can see from my most recent previous post, clearing out your Icloud info before Downgrading is very Important.

well it was an ipad but yeah same thing. so even on ios6 the person won't be able to do anything with it. almost like it was stolen? i feel bad if who ever bought it can't use it.

so if one did not clear their icloud info the device would be useless to the next person?
