As someone who has spent nearly 2 years with the ability to walk into my lounge (typically arms full with a baby or food etc) and say "Xbox on" to have my AV system, media device and TV all turn on entirely hands free then use more voice commands to select programs and TV episodes etc all without having to stop and pick something up, the appleTV Siri integration seems like a massive step back.

It's got better abilities for sure, much better search, but it can't send out IR to control devices (though it does has CEC but that's not always as good) and the fact you have to press a button to use Siri is mad! I thought we were moving away from that with the watch raise to speak and the phone hands free when charging.

The benefits of hands free on/off and selection are HUGE when you are used to them, especially in a family when you are nearly always carrying food, multiple children or doing a hundred other things.

That and no 4K really puts me off. Hopefully reviews will turn up some reasons more than better search to get it, as obviously it's still apple so I still want it. I have a problem...
