You have updates available for other accounts

    I keep getting this when I try to "Update" Growl. (I get "You have updates available for other accounts", even though it shows up in my App Store...). HELP!

    Do you have another account on yout Mac which has growl installed? You might need to update it with that account

    I'm having the same issue. I do not have a second account.

    This will happen if you have installed apps purchased with 2 different App Store accounts, such as if you've copied software from someone else.

    This was not the case with me. What I think happened was that some old pre-appstore cruft was confusing things. When I did an aggressive find and delete of all growl apps on my system and then looked again, it let me install with no issues.
