…when…wait, what are we talking about again?

Passing quantitative analysis without a TI calculator?

i hope this is a trick question

Most of my hobbies i "always" cringed to, have all but not interest anymore.. Particularly retro stuff like Amiga.....(never thought i'd be saying that) now, only gets "light" use

.... even if that. Music is off the cards as well, except YouTube once in a while.

Pfft on those 5-1/4" diskettes. I have a box of 8" Verbatim diskettes. And a few are still virgin. Heh: The 40-Year Old 8" Virgin.

My first computer job was at a company where the IBM System/34 used 8 inch diskettes for backup for the whole 192 MB, and later, for the 400 MB of the System/36, plus our time clock used SSSD 8 inch diskettes.

When your age group doesn’t appear on the webpage without scrolling.

When all the music you listen to is from previous decades.

Your first TV was B&W, CRT and had just three channels.

The first thing you pack for your trip is your pills.

Not for a few years, but one for those not quite that old. Hoping they ask for your ID because you hope you could still pass for a teenager!

... when you had the pleasure to call someone and it just rang and rang wondering what they might be up to at the same time knowing with no guilt you had the same opportunity for the same 😍 (simpler times).

My mobile still rings and rings, because it spends most of its time sitting near its charger. These days, I never take it with me when I head out, a release and a relief.

And, I still use a land line, and love it.

When you don't take chances in traffic anymore

i.e I am a cyclist and doesn't own a driver's license - never have. As a pedestrian and cyclist in my youth I would take a few chances by crossing the street despite a car coming towards me out a few hundred meters.
Now, I'm very much prone to taking all the pedestrian lights and doing all the right signals when riding my bicycle. I wait for green and take the pedestrian lights even if I have to walk back a little to get to my destination on the opposite side. I'm only 42 but I feel 72(I'm not an ageist - it was only meant to explain what I've seen in my own family)

I guess all this sudden "correct behaviour" goes back to wanting to do the correct things after having a few incidents in my youth that could have led me to be run over or being taken to the police station for shoplifting.. these days I have some guilt about all that and can't have it when there's no order of things and I quickly apologize if I've done wrong with people - despite not having at all - mostly to please their ego.
I can live with being butt hurt. But, the youth of today can't stand having an older man asking them to either turn down the music or be better at picking up litter. The youth of today .. what a bunch of ... young people.

In similar vein, I now hold the handrails when descending the stairs. This is not necessary to me at all but I’ve seen what a fall could do to otherwise healthy people. Even loss of teeth could affect appetite leading to gradual decline in health, etc.

Exactly. Teeth and healthy gums and good oral hygiene are essential for a good experience when eating food and otherwise healthy living.
And also the handrails. I guess I'm just not that good of a stair climber. I also hold the handrails for walking up stairs and take the opportunity to sit down on every(exaggerated) park or citybench when out and about. I mean, I can almost hear them call my name.

*Shakes fist while looking up at the ceiling.

You kids turn down that noise. That isn’t music. In my day, we didn’t even have FM radio. Kids today with their new fangled music, wearing ripped jeans, hats are backwards, and respect is in the gutter.

Also when you start posting everything twice ...

I'll know I'm really old when I get like a pal down the way who announced last year he no longer gets down on hands and knees to ensure mopping all the dust bunnies out from under the beds, because he's pretty sure he couldn't really see them, so they might not even really be there. I tried telling myself that not too long ago but discovered that I'm not that old yet.
