Chicken is the only meat I eat besides the rare burger every once in awhile.

(Though admittedly I haven't had McNuggets since grade school.)

I don't think I've eaten Chicken Nuggets since Supersize Me.

Still, disgusting. It's incredibly disconcerting and actually outrageous if it's being used in things on store shelves without being listed on the labels, if I'm understanding the article right that it may be in sausages and bacon.

What's the big problem ? If you eat beef, you get much more than the blood enzymes, you get the whole blood. It's not like Cow meat is actually bad.

There's far more disgusting things put in a chicken mcnugget.

I don't see the problem. Given how laden they are with fat and salt, blood enzymes seems to be the least of things to worry about.

What about everything sold in stores with natural and artificial flavoring. They never tell you what that artificial stuff is.

If you want to control what goes into your food make it yourself. I make my own meals. I even go so far as to make my own sauces and breads. The end result is far better tasting food that is much healthier. This is also just about the only way you can have a diet that does not go beyond the current FDA sodium allowance, most prepared food and even store bought partially prepared food will send you to at least 3 times the daily allowance.

I cook a lot of my own food. We're not talking about just fast food here; we're talking about store-bought stuff. Surely you're not suggesting that the average person raise his own pigs to make bacon and cows for his burger?

can't be worse than blood sausage.

Perhaps you haven't seen the video. Butchers are repurposing bacteria-laden meat scraps, fooling the public into purchasing what they think are better cuts and exposing those that consume (med) rare meat to increased health risks.

You cook it anyhow. Chicken is bacteria laden too. Meat is bacteria laden. Heck, your body is bacteria laden. Let's not even go there with cheese and yogurt...

Anything that was air exposed should be thoroughly cooked, never eaten rare or medium. Chicken should never be consumed rare or medium cooked, even the unexposed parts (Salmonela ring a bell ?).

Seriously, you guys are making a health risk out of perfectly acceptable food.

Those who find this disgusting, should do some research on how sausages are made.

In my area, cheap sausages contain around 38% actual meat and couldn't believe what they actually put inside them! From pork ears, noses even to it's tails! I was shocked, now I go with higher quality meat which contains around 80% of meat, not left overs or stuffings like that.
