I have a late-2021 16-inch MBP. I had a kernel panic the first month related to that weird HD YouTube bug, but none since. After every single restart for over a year, through all sorts of OS updates including Ventura, I get the above message. Anyone know how to get rid of it once and for all? Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback. I tried the "How to fix ..." link above and didn't have the file listed therein, but I did discover a "Shutdown Stall ..." log is being generated after each shutdown, which seems likely to be the cause of the start-up dialog box that appears.

The odd thing is that shutdowns seem instantaneous — I always quit all apps prior to doing so — so I have no idea what could be triggering that log file. If anyone has seen this and has ideas, please post.

I'll check out OnyX. Thanks again.
