Even then, it won't match the Gemini and Google AI features on Android.
He didn't have a Vision Pro, however. This is ridiculous. Apple just had to make a big deal about AI. Jobs may have been a picky jerk, but at least he had a vision.
If you go into Apple stores you will see Apple intelligence all over their walls. It's ridiculousHonestly, I don't mind they will take time to release these features - what annoys the heck out of me is that Apple has been advertising this on all their ads since September 2024 - get a 'Verizon Phone with Apple Intelligence' and it is vaporware - nowhere to be found (yes, it is in BETA).
Stop advertising the Apple Intelligence until you actually release it. I see a class action coming soon.
In general I think every three years is good. Gives enough time for some meaningful updates to accumulate. I went from the 13 pro to 16 pro and will very likely update next with the 19. I updated every year for the first four iPhones but they finally reached a point where they could do most of what I needed and I didn't have such a need for yearly updates.Shrugs. I won't upgrade my iPhone 14 Pro Max until 2025 either. Hopefully by the time the 17s are coming out all the Apple Intelligence features will be out.
But with this I don’t have to use Android.Even then, it won't match the Gemini and Google AI features on Android.
then again, they will have a good part of those available only a month after the iPhone 16 came out. It certainly isn't uncommon for companies to have different timetables for hardware vs software. It will never NOT be funny that Apple released a bunch of new products advertised as having "Apple Intelligence" in 2024, only for so many of those features to not be available until 2025.
For all of Google's and Samsung's many missteps, they at least had their AI features ready to go as soon as their 2024 flagships were, well... shipped. I guess Apple just really wanted to Think Different.![]()
Google is getting millions from Gemini, Apple hasn’t even come out with an AI, they’ll be using ChatGPT — whenever that rolls out. This is actually a smart move by Apple. They saw the debacle of the initial release of Google's Gemini AI and don't want a repeat of that disaster.
And Apple has been using Google search for a very long time and hasn't come out with their own search engine to use on their devices.Google is getting millions from Gemini, Apple hasn’t even come out with an AI, they’ll be using ChatGPT — whenever that rolls out.
then again, they will have a good part of those available only a month after the iPhone 16 came out. It certainly isn't uncommon for companies to have different timetables for hardware vs software.
Well I would hope so. int is going to be a work in progress — forever
I'm pretty sure they had some new features roll out after the initial release of a major version back thenUnder Jobs this was never an issue
This is very true. Never buy a product based on promised features. I’m perfectly happy with my iPhone 14 PM and don’t see anything the new iPhone has that would interest me. Maybe with the iPhone 17 it will be perfect because that’s a three year upgrade cycle.I love how they are selling the iPhone 16 with the Apple Intelligence and you won’t get it all until next year. If you want the 16 for that, you’re better off waiting for the iPhone 17.
