I noticed that some versions of the 6 were still available for 9/19 delivery or pickup, so I was going to get an order set up for my wife.

I still get a similar error as when I tried to order a Plus for myself launch night. What gives?

When I log onto AT&T it states that I am just fine in terms of a Next plan. Checking eligibility on Apple's sight also confirms that I am good up until I try and go through the checkout process.

You could help others help you.

What market?
Where?
When was you last upgrade?
What service do you have?
What plan on you on?

Boston MA (sorry, thought that was implied from my location tag :)
Two years ago. Texting, checking upgrades online, everything states I am good
AT&T
Family share 10GB with four lines

And what did your carrier tell you when you called them?

You did call them, right?
Yep. Called them day one. And they don't have any idea. AT&T can order me a phone with 3-4 weeks delivery.

Then I'd suggest ordering from AT&T. You'll get in "line" and get your upgrade price.

There is something wrong with your record where Apple thinks you are not eligible but AT&T thinks you are. Sounds like a glitch. It happens. It is likely something that will require some troubleshooting to fix, but in the meantime you'd be better off getting any order in.

Good luck.

When I read about NYC resident unable to use Next through Apple, this was the error they were getting. I am just not seeing this info about the Boston market.

Anothe caveat I forgot to mention...

We move on the 25th. So shipping (right now) is not much of an option.

I would also like to avoid the sales tax by hopping over the NH, but that is not a MUST.

That's weird. I'm in the same market and it worked fine for me.

I was thinking of going up to Nashua to get my 6+ too, but wasn't available for pick up when I was able to Pre order. Stuck at Boylston.

Just called. Shocked to get through with zero hold time...

Anyway, they have no idea why the website is saying that. They were able to order over the phone for me...

Awesome! Hope you get it soon.

Me too. Birthday gift for the lady :)

She will be excited to get it over a month early. And in my own greedy way I will be happy to be comparing both models first hand (assuming I get a 6 Plus by standing outside for more hours than I want to think about right now).
