Is it that much of an hassle to swap batteries once a yr or even twice a yr!?
Those 3 days feel like an hour now. Can't go on a long walk with my dog or a quick trip to the store without it chirping or flagging my work phone saying an unknown tracker is nearby.Only issue of course, is airtags are inherently useless for asset tracking because it beeps loudly when it doesnt see your phone for more than 3 days. For professional use (delivery vans, equipment rental, etc) it won't work
Unless you drive a Hummer H1.Different people have different use cases. This wouldn't be for putting on your car keys.
Oh they leak, like, for example, if you leave them in an unused TV remote control for an extended period of time...I have never, ever seen the aa lithium leak and I have used quite a few
I have a AirTags in a few on my vehicles, and having the batteries last 10 years would allow me to hide them in harder to reach/find locations.Thought this was an april fools joke for a second.... Why would anyone want to make their airtag 10 times bigger and bulkier.
You are thinking of alkaline batteries which do leak after a while, the lithium do not leak lithiums do not leak.Oh they leak, like, for example, if you leave them in an unused TV remote control for an extended period of time...
Hence the photo clearly showing lithium batteries.i am not sure if alcaline AA battery and 10 years lifetime fits together lol
Perhaps a bit. At 20 feet it locates the tag in the case (sitting on a countertop) and I get an arrow pointing in the general direction. At < 15ft, it's pointing directly at it. The range for simply detecting it at a distance is less though: ~ 30ft. A bare AirTag in my environment is detectable at ~40ft.I wonder how much of the signal strength is impeded because of the six ternal case surrounds the AirTag. There’s got to be better solutions than this.
