Will raising my computer up at the back about 1 3/4", so it sits at an angle (tipped forward - toward me) when I type, do harm over time to the computer itself?

I've done this to try to cure the issue of a wildly erratic cursor.
It jumps spastically all over the desktop, as I press the keys, totally unrelated to what I attempt to type.
Raising the computer up at the rear mitigates this maniacal careening.
But I don't want to cure one problem only to find (perhaps over time) I created a new one.

Can anyone offer some informed advice?
I'm using a mid-2015 retina MacBook Pro with a 15" screen

thanks.....

It definitely shouldn’t do any harm to the computer by itself.
However the fact that you can’t use it while it’s just sitting on the desk is worrisome - you should investigate the cause.

Oh...I have...hours and hours on phone w. sr. apple advisor + genius bar session + more hours with sr. advisor..... googling the issue shows it's a known issue (including on these boards)
I believe that it has to do with the track pad ( disabling tap to click is another remedy - but then I lose what that provides)

But thanks for your re-assurance that I won't harm computer
