Hello - I have a MacBook Pro 16" that I put to sleep at the end of each day. About once or twice a month it completely shuts down. Upon me powering it back on I'm greeted with the below errors...

This is a brand new MacBook Pro I purchased in February 2020. I do send the report to Apple when it happens - but has anyone else experienced this with their MBP 16"? Is this a hardware problem or a MacOS Catalina problem?

It’s called a “kernel panic,” and it’s been an intermittent issue with MacBooks since Apple added the T2 chip. Apple knows about the issue, but it has been frustrating since some people get it a lot, others don’t see it at all. I used to get those crashes on my 2019 13” MacBook Pro. But I haven’t gotten it yet in over 2 weeks with the 2020 13” MacBook Pro. Keep sending those error reports.

I have actually had this problem recently, with several restarts and similar error messages, with my iMac (27", late 2014, Catalina 10.15.4).

This is pretty unusual for my computer, I think that until the past couple of weeks, such restarts were very rare.

I get these on a 2017 Macbook Pro. It is sleep related for certain as I kept my machine running on a desk for a number of weeks recently and the issue never occurs. Only happens when I close the lid.

I stopped having these problems when I uninstalled my virus checker. Also, it seemed Catalina and Firefox can't share the sandbox; no problems since I switched to Chrome. Not happy with the trade-off, but can't revert from Catalina now; hoping Apple and Mozilla developers can learn to play together again.
