What plug-ins for both programs do you find essential to your workflow, and why? We're converting over to CS5.5, so looking to see what other people have found essential.

Looks helpful. What all do you use it for?

    Any others?

Mostly in AE. Not sure if all work in PPro.
You can build a whole look around some of em.
Back in the day Shine took over Lens Flare as the most abused effect.
Now I use it in subtle ways and not to be the focal point.
Love Particular. Too much to explain with that but its the closest I can get particles like in Maya Dynamics. Here is a base example from the creator himself http://www.trapcode.com/sharelog/2009/12/29/particular-v2-massive.html
Do the research itll do you good :)

All of the Red Giant stuff is pretty great.

Though I prefer VideoCopilot's lens flares to Knoll Light factory.

I do to considering that our KLF version is too old to work with AE and recent Avid :p
There used to be a ton of AE plug-ins but of late, not as much.

The Trapcode plug-ins are a must.

Also Video Copilot Optical Flares is a great plug-in as well.

Also the Sapphire suite, RE:Vision (Real Smart Motion Blur), Magic Bullet Suite, and Knoll.
